Spencer graduated from Queens University with an Honours Degree in Life Sciences in 1995. He then attended law school at the University of Toronto, graduating in 1998. Spencer joined the Bay Street law firm of Fasken Campbell Godfrey as a summer student and then completed his articles there.
Spencer was the London Region Gold Medalist and received the Family Law Memorial Award during the 41st Bar Admissions Course.
Spencer returned to London for the opportunity to work with his father, Ross, joining Nicholson Smith & Partners in November 1999. He was called to the Bar in 2000 and has been specializing in both plaintiff and defense personal injury claims ever since that time. Spencer also practices in medical malpractice law, commercial litigation and employment law.
He particularly enjoys dealing with legally complicated matters that require significant thought and analysis to reach a fair resolution.
Spencer became a partner in January of 2008, when the firm changed its name to Nicholson Smith & Partners.
